Nokia failed as mobile business, Blackberry is on its path to become officially a failed business. But, what failed them? Did not accepting Android failed them? I don't think so. According to the news, the technology was found by mistake when the university student, Mya Le Thai, was experimenting different metals and scenarios to see what happens. When she used manganese dioxide and a type of electrolyte gel to coat the gold wires, she saw the drastically longer battery life cycle. A laptop or phone's battery's lifetime is measured on how many times battery could be made completely empty and then completely recharged. That's one cycle. And normal laptop batteries could run 300 to 500 such cycles. What Mya Le Thai found was that with the new way, the battery sustained for over 30,000 cycles. That's equivalent to a battery lasting for up to 400 years! That's immense!
