Another Proof of the Removal of the Home Button on the Next iPhone

I explained in iPhone 7 Hints Radical Design Improvements of the Next iPhone, about how Apple is planning to make some radical design changes for the 10th anniversary of iPhone next year. Recently, Apple gave another proof that those hints are indeed true.

Apple has filed a patent application for a touch screen that acts as a finger print scanner. That means, the home button is no longer necessary.

Here is the image of the patent filed:
Apple is killing the Home Button one step at a time. First it made it static, now the finger print scanner is being implemented on the touch screen. What's left? The iconic round shape. That will either become a software button, like Android, or will be gone completely and its functionality will be taken over by some new feature.

Apple's planning something radical for the next year.
